About the role This critical role oversees the global FE BoM category; all direct materials we purchase to enable our frontend manufacturing. The subcategories within FE BoM include Silicon raw wafers, Process chemicals, specialty gases, sputtering targets incl. precious metals, and photomasks, all of which we buy from a qualified global supply base. You will lead a high performing team of successful sourcing managers located in both Hamburg and Manchester, each of which hold several years of experience within Nexperia. In a highly dynamic environment, you - together with your team - will work cross-functionally ensuring supply resilience with our global suppliers as well as key stakeholders across sites. This is your new job: - Own end-to-end sourcing responsibility for all critical front-end materials categories used for Front End production and test, incl. achieving agreed objectives and key results (OKRs) - Define, execute and adapt global category strategies aligned with our corporate strategy, technology roadmaps, and market dynamics - Drive cost reduction and value creation initiatives, leveraging should-cost models, negotiations, and innovation - Lead commercial negotiations and close (long-term) supply contracts, apply pricing models - Ensure stable supply, proactively managing capacity, allocation, inventory and various supply chain risks implementing multi-sourcing and business continuity strategies - Develop and manage strategic and long-term supplier relationships, including regular review meetings involving executive levels and occasional supplier visits, as well as frequent supplier performance management - Lead supplier development initiatives to improve quality, cost competitiveness, and yield - Collaborate cross-functionally with our Business Group R&D teams, engineering, operations, controlling and quality teams to enable product development and support manufacturing excellence - Lead sourcing activities for NPI materials, including SiC and GaN wafers, ensuring supplier readiness and timely industrialization (Time to Market) - attend industry conferences and prepare market intelligence and strategic insights into supply trends, cost, and technology developments for internal stakeholders - Support procurement transformation and sustainability requirements and drive improvement initiatives This is you: - University degree in business management or technical discipline - Minimum 10 years of sourcing experience in manufacturing industry with at least 5 years in a senior management position - Proven track record of strong leadership responsibility in an international environment - Strong teamwork and collaboration skills on an international level - Excellent English speaking and communication skills amongst various groups of stakeholders, also across borders (Tier 1+2 sites). Any other language like Mandarin, Japanese or German is a plus - Proven negotiation and analytical skills, and a good understanding of current ESG requirements  - Out of the box thinker while continuously challenging the status quo - Willingness to travel occasionally
