Director Global Project Management Office (PMO) (m/w/d) Product Development - München, Bayern At LRE Medical, we develop innovative diagnostic solutions that make a difference for patients worldwide. As Director Global PMO, you will play a key role in turning complex development projects into successful products. This is not a purely strategic management role. We are looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership, working closely with interdisciplinary teams and actively driving projects to successful completion. Director Global Project Management Office (PMO) (m/w/d) Location: Munich | Full-time Your Mission You combine strategic thinking with a strong hands-on mentality. You enjoy working closely with engineers, project managers and customers, stepping into challenging situations and finding pragmatic solutions. You build structures where they add value, but you never lose sight of execution. You lead by example and are willing to roll up your sleeves whenever needed. The role manages all Program and Project Managers and establishes a high-performing PMO focused on project execution excellence, portfolio management, governance, customer satisfaction and commercial success. Your Responsibilities • Lead and continuously develop our Global PMO while actively contributing to project execution • Personally take ownership of critical customer and development projects whenever additional leadership is needed • Lead, develop and support Project Managers in their day-to-day work • Build practical PMO methodologies, standards, tools and KPIs and reporting that simplify execution rather than create bureaucracy • Manage and prioritize the global project portfolio together with the leadership team • Support resource planning and capacity management across functions • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, budget and quality objectives and manage risks and proactively implement corrective actions • Work side-by-side with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain and Commercial teams to remove roadblocks • Support successful Design Transfer and industrialization activities together with Operations • Act as a trusted partner for our customers throughout the project lifecycle • Continuously improve PMO processes, tools and collaboration across the organization What you bring • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Biotechnology or a related technical discipline • Several years of Project or Program Management experience in Medical Devices, IVD or Life Sciences • Experience leading multidisciplinary product development projects • Experience developing or improving PMO structures and ways of working • A genuine hands-on mentality and the willingness to actively support teams in operational project work • Confidence working in regulated development environments • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functions and with customers • PMP, IPMA or a comparable certification is a plus Technical Competencies • Project & Program Management • PMO Development & Governance • Medical Device & IVD Product Development and preferred understanding of Biochemistry • Design Controls (ISO 13485, IVDR, FDA) • Risk Management (ISO 14971) • Design Transfer & Industrialization • Portfolio & Resource Management • Financial Project Tracking • Customer Project Management • Process Improvement • Fluent English (C1–C2) LRE currently employs more than 230 people.
