Summary & Role Information: At SAP Business AI, we are exploring the next frontier of AI on structured business data like graphs, tables and more. Foundation Models on structured data, like SAP-RPT-1, have ushered in the GenAI era for business relevant scenarios. Now, we are pushing further. We want to enable companies across all industries to collaboratively train foundation models and build knowledge graphs. As Area Product Owner (f/m/d) you will own the product backlog for the Industry Knowledge Graphs (IKGs) – the unified, semantically rich representation of domain specific and generalized business entities, processes, and relationships across SAP applications and industries. You translate strategy and stakeholder needs into a clear, prioritized roadmap, write the user stories that drive delivery, and partner closely with the IKG Tech Lead, knowledge engineers, data engineers and AI scientists to ship. You also represent the IKGs to its consumers – the MMIFM teams developing multi-modal industry foundation models and OP4I and an open data platformteams, SAP product groups including SAP Knowledge Graph, and external partners – making sure what we build matches what they need. You work alongside architects, designers, engineers and senior product managers to refine value proposition and execution. You will help shape concept documents and (sub-)proposals for new IKGs capabilities, and ensure alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders including senior management in a complex, dynamic environment. What You'll do: - Own and prioritize the IKGs product backlog – gather requirements, write user stories, and ensure the team is always working on the highest-value items - Detail out, test and iterate the IKGs value proposition: a unifieddomain specific, trustworthy representation of SAP’s broad industry business knowledge that grounds GenAI applications and powers downstream foundation-model workstreams – for the benefit of SAP’s customers and SAP itselfthe whole European industry ecosystem - Identify and onboard the IKG’s key consumers (MMIFM, OP4I, SAP product teams, external partners) and ensure tight alignment between what they need and what we ship - Partner with Product Management to define the business plan and measurable outcomes for the IKGs area - Work hand-in-hand with the IKGs Tech Lead and the R&D team to translate roadmap into requirements, sprint goals, and measurable releases What you bring: - 8+ years of related professional experience incl. 5+ years of product ownership in the area of AI, data, or platform products - Solid technical literacy in Knowledge Graphs and semantic data – you don’t need to design ontologies yourself, but you can reason about RDF, SPARQL, KG construction trade-offs, and graph RAG / LLM grounding well enough to write meaningful stories and run informed reviews with the IKG Tech Lead - Passionate about identifying new ways to generate value from structured business knowledge - Track record of delivering high-quality features that meet novel customer needs and balancing the needs of multiple consumers in a highly dynamic environment - Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to think outside the box – roll up your sleeves to ship - Strong abilities to manage internal stakeholders, surface use cases, and drive consensus across engineering, product, and partner organizations - Exceptional teamwork abilities, including a track record of delivering C-level grade presentations and driving alignment with senior management - Demonstrated capability in shaping product vision and roadmaps, running discovery, calculating business value, and making impactful product decisions on behalf of users - Familiarity with SAP business applications (ERP, CRM) and their data models is a strong plus – you understand what kinds of business questions the IKG needs to answer - Strong communication skills in English language – verbal and written Meet your team: SAP's AI organization is dedicated to seamlessly infusing AI into all enterprise applications, enabling customers, partners, and developers to enhance business processes and generate remarkable business value.
